About 1-800-STRIPER of Chicago Metro

I launched 1-800-STRIPER of Chicago Metro in April of 2025 because I saw a real need for high-quality parking lot striping services in the region. From the start, my goal has been simple: to deliver reliable, professional work that makes a visible difference for local businesses and communities. We specialize in painting clean, durable lines and pavement markings for commercial, industrial, and municipal properties. We don’t do paving or sealcoating ourselves, but we work closely with a trusted network of contractors and can coordinate those services when needed. What really sets us apart is our attention to detail, fast turnaround, and commitment to doing the job right the first time. Whether we’re laying out a new lot or re-striping an old one, we treat every job with care—because every line we paint is a reflection of our standards and the pride we take in our work.

The Future of 1-800-STRIPER of Chicago Metro

Looking ahead, I see 1-800-STRIPER growing into a leading name in professional striping and maintenance services throughout the region. In five to ten years, I want people to think of us first when they need a job done quickly and done well. Expansion is definitely part of the plan, but I want to do it the right way. That means building a strong team that shares our commitment to quality, growing our fleet, and expanding into new service areas while maintaining the high standards we’ve built our name on. More than just growing a business, I want to create opportunities for others—whether that means hiring locally, mentoring new team members, or giving back to the communities that have supported me. This business has already given me a lot, and I’m excited to keep pushing it forward.

Doing Business in Northwest Indiana

Northwest Indiana has always been home for me. I grew up in DeMotte and have lived here my whole life, so when it came time to open my business, there was no question about where I wanted to plant my roots. I know the people, I know the area, and I believe in the potential of this region. Indiana—and especially this part of the state—is a great place to start and grow a business. The taxes are reasonable, the regulations are fair, and there’s a strong workforce here. Being close to Chicago also opens up opportunities to serve a wider area without losing that local, community-focused feel. But more than anything, I appreciate the way people in this region do business. There’s a real sense of pride and trust here. If you show up, do what you say you’re going to do, and treat people right, that goes a long way.

Why I Joined Northwest Indiana’s Chamber of Commerce

For me, joining Crossroads Chamber was about connection. I wanted to be part of something bigger than just my own business. As someone who lives and works here, I understand the value of building relationships—and the Chamber creates space for that. I’ve already seen how much Crossroads does to support local businesses, and I’m excited to be involved in that network. I’d love to keep seeing more opportunities for business spotlights, referrals, and B2B connections. In my line of work, even a small introduction can turn into a long-term partnership. Being part of the Chamber helps me stay connected to the community, and that’s really what this is all about.

Joshua Kackos is the proud owner of 1-800-STRIPER of Chicago Metro and a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. He grew up in DeMotte, where he learned the value of hard work, problem-solving, and community service—qualities that now define his business. Before launching his franchise, Joshua held various leadership roles where he managed people, streamlined processes, and built a strong foundation in operations and logistics. Although he thrived in these roles, he eventually reached a point where he wanted to build something of his own—something that reflected his values and made a visible difference in the world around him. That opportunity came with 1-800-STRIPER, a franchise whose leadership and mission aligned with his own. Joshua was drawn to the simplicity and necessity of the service, recognizing that while every business needs clear, safe, and compliant parking lots, few have access to truly professional striping services.

Today, he’s putting his years of experience into action while building something of lasting value for his hometown and beyond. With each project, Joshua is laying the foundation—not just for his business—but for a stronger, more connected Northwest Indiana.
