About CertaPro Painters

I started CertaPro Painters late in 2013. CertaPro is a residential, commercial, interior and exterior painting and related services company. We primarily work in the re-paint side of the business, which means we work directly with homeowners, businesses owners, property owners and property managers on existing buildings that need paint and maintenance to maintain their appearance and substrate integrity. We also perform some work with commercial contractors and homeowners on new construction projects.

The Future of CertaPro Painters

After 10 years in business, we have grown across the Region and Northwest Indiana to be the most recognized painting company as well as the largest painting contractor outside of commercial/industrial union firms. We’ve also built a great online presence with nearly 500 Google Reviews to help customers make decisions to choose who to work with for their projects at their home or business. We feel we have learned a lot over the past ten years and have a great foundation and team to continue to build our company to support the planned profitable growth for CertaPro.

Doing Business In Northwest Indiana

After working in a leadership role in the security business for nearly 15 years, I was seeking a new opportunity that would allow me to build and grow a business that could be successful and thrive locally in my community. I had young children at the time and had been traveling quite a bit. It was important to me to be around my young family and be at their school, athletic and social events. Northwest Indiana has been a great area to own and operate a service business that is focused on delivering extraordinary experiences for our customers. It is also a huge blessing to be in a community that allows me to be involved with different aspects and events without having to travel too far!

Why I Joined Northwest Indiana’s Chamber of Commerce

I joined the Crossroads Chamber shortly after I started my business. In my previous position I was a member of the Chicago Southland Chamber and understood the value of networking and building relationships with the business community and its leaders. However, I also realized you only get out what you put in when it comes to the value received from a Chamber. I quickly joined committees as an Ambassador and the Golf Committee and now I serve on the Board. I have been chosen as the Chairman Elect for 2022 and 2023 and to serve as the Chairman in 2024 and 2025. I am happy to give back to the Chamber that has helped me grow my business and my individual presence as a business leader in Northwest Indiana.

My business has benefited a great deal from joining Crossroads Chamber. We have received many leads and projects directly from the business members of the Chamber, but more importantly, it has helped me network with many other business leaders and helped grow CertaPro’s brand presence across the Region. I can confidently say that due to my efforts and involvement with the Chamber we are a more recognized brand than prior to joining without a doubt.

About John Jordan

John Jordan grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago in Frankfort, IL. Shortly after college, he met his wife and decided that Northwest Indiana was the right place for them to start their family. He couldn’t be happier with his decision to move to the Region in 2004. In 2013, he and his father sold their business to a private equity firm. Later the same year, Jordan started CertaPro Painters and has been in operation for 10 years.
