About PNC Bank

As a business banker and relationship strategist with PNC, I work with clients to help them achieve well-defined financial goals. As a coast-to-coast bank with a local presence in northern Indiana, PNC offers a full suite of business banking products and services to support a broad range of clients—from an individual looking to start their dream business to established business owners who have more complex deposit and financing needs in corporate & institutional banking, retail, and asset management. Our local business banking team is specialized in helping businesses focus on their cash management and efficiencies, making it easier to receive and make payments and reduce fraud. We work with clients of all sizes and in varying industries, ranging from healthcare and professional services to manufacturing.

The Future of PNC Bank

PNC has continued to grow with our coast-to-coast capabilities and local leadership presence across the state. PNC is grounded in strong financial discipline, robust investment in innovation, and an unwavering commitment to our customers and our people. We’ve remained true to that for 160 years, and we look forward to building upon this. We have an incredible set of opportunities on the horizon, and with a growing coast-to-coast franchise and significant investment in technology, our products, and our team, we are well-positioned to capitalize on them.

Doing Business in Northwest Indiana

I have a vested interest in doing my part to make a difference in the communities where I live and work. I am from northwest Indiana, and I am raising my family here. PNC has a presence here, and that is why I chose to work here—so that I can help local individuals and businesses thrive. I believe northwest Indiana is an attractive destination for new and existing businesses because of the growing local economy and lower state taxes compared to neighboring states.

Why I Joined Northwest Indiana’s Chamber of Commerce

I joined the Chamber because it provides PNC an opportunity to expand its professional network and create meaningful impact and connectivity among local business owners and stakeholders. Our membership with the Chamber has allowed my PNC team and me to connect and build relationships that are critical for continued success in our local economy and community. Collaborating on projects and offering our expertise where we can has created trust and long-term relationships between our bankers and the community. Crossroads has done a great job identifying opportunities and challenges for local business owners across northwest Indiana, particularly through strategic events and gatherings aimed at educating and connecting us to the business community. We look forward to participating in future events!

About Adam Lukas

I was born in northern Indiana and raised in Griffith. I currently live and work in northwest Indiana. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in education but took a detour and began as a management trainee at a rental car franchise in northwest Indiana. I had planned to work there temporarily; however, I didn’t anticipate how much I would enjoy helping clients, and within three years I was promoted to manager. Soon after, I was recruited to a bank to work as a small business specialist and have remained in the industry since 2011. Throughout my banking career, I have focused on helping business owners and families achieve their financial goals. In my current role as a business banker with PNC, I work with small- to medium-sized businesses to help them create cash management efficiencies while providing financial solutions and strategies to support their cash flow.

As I mentioned above, after graduating college, I entered the workforce to serve clients with varying—and often time-sensitive—needs. Knowing how to create customer satisfaction and referrals was key. I also believe that my training in education has helped me live out my innate drive and passion for teaching others. Having built a good reputation, my customers noticed—as did others—who eventually recommended me for future jobs. I think those skills early on in my career served me well, as I was recruited into banking within a few years. Being able to help people understand how to achieve their financial goals, and ultimately fulfill their dreams, gives me great satisfaction as I realize I can contribute to the success of those around me.
