Methodist Hospitals marked a significant milestone on Wednesday, August 14 with the grand opening of its newly relocated Wound Treatment Center at the Southlake Campus at Pavilion D. The ribbon-cutting ceremony featured remarks from hospital leadership and local community figures, highlighting the center's importance to patient care in Northwest Indiana.

Crossroads Chamber hosted its annual Golf Outing on Monday morning, inviting its members to take on the greens at Innsbrook Country Club. The event, a casual outing for golfers of all skill levels, is one of the most well-attended activities of the year for Crossroads Chamber. As golfers journeyed through Innsbrook’s 18-holes, they participated in different challenges, raffles, and mini-games at different tees. Crossroads also organized breakfast and lunch for participants, a bag drop, and a Bloody Mary & mimosa bar.

On July 17th approximately 350 members registered from chambers across Northwest Indiana (NWI) gathered at the US Steel Yard Stadium for an exciting evening of networking and baseball. Led by the Crossroads Chamber, the event brought together business professionals from 13 chambers across the region, making it a landmark gathering for fostering business-to-business connections.

On the sunny evening of May 31, volunteers from Crossroads Chamber of Commerce kicked off the first day of the 2024 Corn Roast celebration. Residents from Crown Point and its neighboring towns gathered at Bulldog Park to participate in this 46-year-old celebration. This year’s event featured over 20 food trucks and stands, bounce houses, a beer garden with a wide variety of alcoholic beverages on tap, and, of course, plenty of corn.

On the evening of May 23, Regional Health Systems, a member of Regional Care Group and Crossroads Chamber partnered with one another to hold their first-ever Business After Hours event. This year’s event, which was held in recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, was hosted at Regional Health Systems’ Merrillville Care Center.

The Crossroads Chamber of Commerce will host a panel discussion on artificial intelligence before its upcoming Business Expo. The chamber, which initially focused on Crown Point and Merrillville before broadening its scope across the Region, will host the "Unlocking Tomorrow for Business Today" panel discussing AI from 12 to 1 p.m. May 21 at the the Dean and Barbara White Community Center at 6600 Broadway, Merrillville.

On the sunny morning of April 25, Crossroads Chamber, Northwest Indiana’s regional chamber of commerce, and the Northwest Indiana (NWI) Forum, a Region-based nonprofit economic development organization, hosted the Indiana Chamber Luncheon at Purdue University Westville’s Great Hall. Representatives from a wide array of businesses, organizations, and politicians’ offices came from all across the Region to attend the event. Salad along with a wide selection of main course options were served.

Seven middle schools across Northwest Indiana attended JAChamber Town, an expanded collaborative effort between Crossroads and Junior Achievement Chicago. The event witnessed enthusiastic engagement and active learning from students representing Gary Middle School, Pierce Middle School, Bailly STEM, Colonel Wheeler Middle School, Taft Middle School, Boone Grove Middle School, and Hanover Central Middle School. It’s always an incredible feeling to look back and see how much has been accomplished in a year. For the Crossroads Chamber, this past year has been quite monumental – the organization is quickly approaching the one-year celebration of rebranding to the Region’s chamber. As an initiative that began to help further its commitment to members and businesses across Northwest Indiana, the rebranding has already sparked an impactful new beginning for many throughout the Region.

Business leaders from around Northwest Indiana came together on Thursday, March 7, for Crossroads Chamber’s Annual Business Excellence Awards Ceremony. Hosted at the Dean & Barbara White Community Center, the event celebrated the businesses, nonprofits, and individuals that help make the Region what it is.
