2026 Animal Baby Shower at Humane Indiana Shelter and Adoption Center - Event Flyer

Munster, IN – April 2026: Humane Indiana invites the community to celebrate and support its tiniest, most vulnerable residents at the annual “Berry Sweet” Puppy & Kitten Baby Shower, taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm at Humane Indiana Shelter & Adoption Center, located at 421 45th Street in Munster, Indiana.

This beloved annual event raises critical funds and collects essential supplies for Humane Indiana’s Foster Program during “baby season” – a time of year when the shelter sees a significant influx of orphaned and neonatal puppies and kittens in need of around-the-clock care.

Guests will enjoy a festive, family-friendly atmosphere while making a life-saving impact for animals in need.

Tickets are available now and include:

· “Berry Sweet Supporter” (General Admission): $20

· “Berry Big Hero” (VIP Admission): $40 (limited availability) VIP guests receive exclusive early access beginning at 10 am, special raffle basket opportunities, and entry to the VIP Kitten Lounge.

· Children (age 10 and under): $7

“This time of year is both incredibly rewarding and incredibly demanding,” said Jessica Greer, Senior Director of Shelter & Clinic Operations at Humane Indiana. “Our Foster Program is truly the lifeline for fragile puppies and kittens who need specialized, around-the-clock care. This event helps ensure we have the resources, supplies, and community support to give each of these animals the healthy start they deserve.”

For those unable to attend, support is still possible through Humane Indiana’s online baby shower registry. Community members can purchase and send top-needed items such as formula, bottles, blankets, and other critical supplies directly to the shelter to help foster families care for animals during this critical time.

“Every spring, our community shows up in such a meaningful way for these animals,” said Brian Fitzpatrick, CEO of Humane Indiana. “The ‘Berry Sweet’ Baby Shower is more than an opportunity to snuggle adorable puppies and kittens; it powers the life-saving that happens every day at Humane Indiana.”
