CROWN POINT, Ind. — September 01, 2026 — St. Jude House has launched Hope Lives Here: Building New Beginnings Through Transitional Housing, a campaign seeking to raise $75,000 to help 10 survivor families secure safe transitional housing for one year. Eligible donations made directly to Legacy Foundation in support of St. Jude House will be matched dollar-for-dollar through the Foundation’s Community Projects + Programs (CPP) Matching Grant, creating the opportunity for up to $150,000 in campaign support.
The campaign’s fundraising and implementation period runs from June 1, 2026, through December 31, 2027. Community members can make a tax-deductible gift to the Hope Lives Here campaign through Legacy Foundation.
Centered on providing transitional housing for survivors rebuilding their lives after domestic violence, Hope Lives Here seeks to remove the financial barriers that often prevent families from achieving long-term stability. St. Jude House’s Transitional Housing Program bridges the gap between emergency shelter and independence by providing safe housing alongside comprehensive support services.
“The campaign will focus on transitional housing because we know firsthand how important housing is for survivors and their families,” said Anna Schoon, Executive Director of St. Jude House. “After safety is restored, we focus on stability and providing the support needed to help families build the future they choose. Hope Lives Here invites our community to help families move from crisis to stability and from surviving to thriving.”
St. Jude House is inviting businesses, foundations, civic organizations, healthcare systems, financial institutions, and individual donors to join the campaign. To recognize early leadership and community investment, the first 10 donors who contribute at least $2,500 will be recognized as Hope Lives Here Founding Partners.
Thieneman Construction of Westfield, Indiana, has become the campaign’s first Founding Partner with a gift of $2,500.
“Thieneman Construction is honored to be the first Founding Partner of St. Jude House’s Transitional Housing Campaign. Through our #ThienemanCares Initiative, we are committed to supporting organizations that make a meaningful and lasting difference for children and families in our communities,” the company shared.
“We are truly honored to partner with St. Jude House and support the important work they are doing for survivors and their children,” said Lisa Gray, Community Benefits Coordinator at Thieneman Construction. “#ThienemanCares is about showing up, serving, and building partnerships that strengthen our communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to help families move forward with safety, stability, independence, and hope.”
Thieneman Construction added, “We are proud to stand alongside St. Jude House and look forward to the positive impact we can make together.”
Through its #ThienemanCares Initiative, Thieneman Construction supports organizations that create meaningful and lasting change for children and families. Its investment in Hope Lives Here reflects a shared belief that every survivor and child deserves the opportunity to live in a safe, stable, and supportive environment.
Hope Lives Here Founding Partners will receive individual social media recognition, acknowledgment in campaign press materials, recognition in St. Jude House’s annual report and internal communications, and an invitation to an exclusive St. Jude House tour and conversation with program leadership about the Transitional Housing Program.
In addition to financial supporters, St. Jude House is seeking partnerships with landlords, property managers, and real estate professionals who can help identify safe, affordable housing opportunities for survivors transitioning out of emergency shelter. The Transitional Housing Program provides financial assistance with rent-related costs and financial literacy education to help participants build financial stability and prepare for future homeownership opportunities.
