CELEBRATING LOCAL BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY FAVORITES THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

SCHERERVILLE, INDIANA, October 17, 2024: Town Planner of Northwest Indiana is excited to announce the launch of “Northwest Indiana’s Favorite Things,” a groundbreaking contest designed to showcase and celebrate the best that Northwest Indiana (NWI) has to offer. This initiative aims to spotlight local businesses and community favorites just in time for the holiday season.

Starting October 14, 2024, Northwest Indiana residents and business owners are invited to nominate their favorite local products, services, and experiences. The contest seeks to highlight everything from one-of-a-kind items at local boutiques to the gift that always wins the gift exchange. Town Planner of NWI is looking for truly exceptional and unique gifts for this holiday season that only Northwest Indiana can offer. Winners will be announced in early November, just in time for the busy holiday shopping season.

“Northwest Indiana is more than just a place on the map – it’s a vibrant community of businesses, people, and experiences that make our region special,” says Stacy Travis, Owner of Town Planner NWI. “This contest is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to the businesses that serve us and highlight the things that make our residents proud to call NWI home.”

Key Details of the Contest:

  •  Nomination Period: October 14 – November 8, 2024
  • Big Reveal: November 22, 2024, with the complete published list of winners on the Town Planner NWI website and across their social media channels.
  • Open to all Northwest Indiana businesses and residents
  • Focusing on one-of-a-kind items and experiences that can only be found in Northwest
    Indiana

Nominations can be submitted through the official NWI Favorite Things Page, and business owners can nominate themselves. The general public is also encouraged to nominate their favorites as well as we showcase the best of NWI. The “Northwest Indiana’s Favorite Things” contest not only celebrates local businesses but also aims to strengthen the community’s economic fabric by encouraging local shopping and support, especially during the holiday season.

“We’re calling on everyone in Northwest Indiana to get involved. Whether you’re a business owner or a passionate local, your voice matters in showcasing, celebrating, and supporting local businesses in our community,” adds Stacy Travis.
