3 2025 Dark Lord Day Volunteers from Humane Indiana

Munster, IN – May 2025— This year’s Dark Lord Day, the iconic beer release and music festival hosted by Three Floyds Brewing, was one for the books. With thousands of passionate fans in attendance, the 2025 celebration not only served up unforgettable brews and performances—but also made a meaningful impact in the local community. A portion of ticket sales were donated to support the animals of Humane Indiana, raising significant funds for both domestic animal care and wildlife rehabilitation.

“This partnership means the world to us—literally,” said Brian Fitzpatrick, CEO of Humane Indiana. “Each ticket purchase at Dark Lord Day helped give life-saving care to injured wildlife and second chances to shelter animals across our region. It’s incredible to see our local legends at Three Floyds use their platform to uplift our mission.”

In a bold blend of beer, metal, and meaningful giving, the collaboration was forged by Taylor Dawson, Marketing Manager at Three Floyds and coordinator of this year’s event.

“We’ve always believed in celebrating what makes our region unique—and that includes our commitment to community,” said Dawson. “Supporting Humane Indiana was a no-brainer. Our fans care deeply about animals, and this year we raised our glasses for a cause that truly matters.”

To help bring the partnership to life, volunteers from Humane Indiana played a behind-the-scenes role throughout the event—from checking I.D.s to line management—ensuring attendees experienced the good vibes while giving back.

“Dark Lord Day is legendary, and this year our volunteers made it even more powerful,” said Linsey Carrigan, Volunteer and Retail Coordinator at Humane Indiana. “Our team showed up strong, representing the heart behind Humane Indiana. We’re proud to be part of something that celebrates fun and purpose.”

The funds raised will directly support Humane Indiana’s shelter animals, veterinary clinic, and wildlife rehabilitation center, all of which are experiencing growing demand for services.

“We are grateful to Three Floyds and everyone who turned out for this epic event,” said Fitzpatrick. “Together, we proved that compassion and craft beer make a powerful pairing.” For more information, visit www.humaneindiana.org/events, or keep up with all the latest at Humane Indiana by following @humaneindiana on Facebook.
