Powers Health Event: Empowering Women’s Retreat – Self Care for Mind & Body

NORTHWEST INDIANA | Women looking for tips on getting better sleep, recognizing signs of menopause and creating confidence can find all of that and more at an upcoming Powers Health event.

The 2025 Empowering Women’s Retreat – Self Care for Mind and Body will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 26 at the Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road, Munster. This free event is open to women of all ages. Powers Health will provide information, screenings and tools to help you achieve and maintain optimal health. Participate in interactive sessions, gain valuable resources and enjoy the opportunity to focus on your well-being.

Kristen Bergren, who attended the event in 2024 with her mom and her friend, said she cannot wait to see what is in store for this year’s event. “My friend and I really enjoyed all the different sessions you could do,” she said. “It was fun to be able to talk and learn from the women at all different stages in their lives. It is definitely something I would recommend to any woman wanting to grow, feel good and meet other amazing women.”

Health screenings will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a welcome message at 9 a.m. The first breakout session will begin at 9:45 a.m. Then, participants will enjoy brunch with a panel presentation on sleep and conclude the day with a breakout session.

Advanced registration is required. Breakout sessions must be selected at time of registration. For the morning session, attendees can learn how to create small habits to improve their mental health, or they can learn about the effects of perimenopause and menopause on their health. For the afternoon session, attendees can learn about the power of the Mediterranean Diet, or they can participate in a craft project while focusing on creativity and positivity.
